The ARC is Your Safe Haven

The Addiction Recovery Center's LifeSTAR™ program provides a safe and confidential setting where partners can feel supported and understood as they work to understand how the destructive behaviors have affected them individually and as a couple.

Partners need to learn that the addiction of their addict is not about them. Yes, it has affected them horrifically, but the addiction began in the addict’s childhood. As Al-Anon wisdom states, “You didn’t cause it, you can’t control it and you can’t cure it.”

We Treat the Partner, Not Just the Addict

LifeSTAR™ is Dual-Track Program that offers a healing journey for the partner so that he or she might begin to feel safe and rebuild trust. A small, confidential and safe group is led by a skilled and committed Staff Facilitator where the partner’s pain can be shared. With sharing, healing begins.

With help from a Couples Coach, the addicts and their partners will be educated and empowered to make healthy decisions about their life. Disclosure happens as a process when both are ready. The program’s Disclosure Model creates an opportunity for healing and generates hope for the future.
